Leigh had all the machining done himself & brought us the parts too
weld. The fit was spot on, so our job was made easy. These are the
internal plennum bells that nobody gets to see.
These are the plennum, manifold & fuel rail all welded. Simple
160 deg. design plennum. Water pipe welded too intake runners because no
other room.
He drives the car from Brisbane to South Australia & back, with the
other engine in the back & swaps them over down there. How's that for
keen!
In '03 he ran 222 kph with his turbo engine before melting a piston.
changed to his naturally aspirated engine overnight & then ran a /
class world record of 164 kph.
